Astorn Martin Project AM3

Following the release of the One-77 and V12 Zagato at previous editions, Aston Martin will now reveal the latest top-of-the-range model at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. Known internally as the Project AM 310, it is believed to the replacement of the DBS that was first shown at Pebble Beach back in 2007.

Although once again based on the familiar 'VH' chassis constructed from bonded aluminium, there are several significant changes to bring the design up to the latest emissions and safety standards. Employing the lessons learned when developing the One-77, much of that has been achieved by using lightweight materials for both the body and chassis components.

A familiar drivetrain will also be employed; the all-aluminium 6-litre V12 and a transaxle gearbox. We understand that the output has been raised from 510 bhp in the DBS to 573 bhp in the Project AM 310.
